Avnet si compra Magirus

Nuovo scossone nel comparto della distribuzione IT europea, Avnet, colosso distributivo Usa ha messo sul piatto un'offerta economica importante per poter rilevare Magirus, attore tedesco e con presenze importanti nella distribuzione IT in Europa (anche in Italia), e con partnership "forti" con Cisco, VMware ed Emc, solo per citarni alcuni (leggi qui il comunicato ufficiale).
Magirus lo scorso hanno da registrato reveniew per 530 milioni di Dollari e può contate su un bacino di importante bacino di  clienti-rivenditoristimato  attorno alle 5000 unità.
Al termine della transazione economica Magirus verrà integrata nella struttura di europea di Avnet, con l'obiettivo di aiutare la società di Phoenix a espandere il proprio business sia in Europa che nel Medio Oriente.
Per quanto riguarda l'Italia non si hanno informazioni specifiche visto che lo scorso novembre Avnet ha chiuso i battenti.

PHOENIX -- Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT) announced today that it has agreed to acquire the Magirus Group (Magirus), a leading pan-European distributor of data center solutions and services. Magirus is a leading value-add distributor of software, systems and related services encompassing virtualization, storage management, cloud computing, security, intelligent networks and information life-cycle management services. Through its professional services portfolio and knowledge of the IT sector, Magirus enables business partners to take new technologies to market in eleven markets throughout Europe and the Middle East. Its services span demand generation, pre-sales, consultancy, training, certification, implementation as well as support from its pan-European, multi-lingual support center.
